All of these screens are versions of FreeView. The screens are scripted to provide access to the controls below based on avatar identity.

The screens can be used to page through a series of slides (a la Powerpoint), or play them in a regular rotation mode. In addition, the screens can play a video form a given URL.

Click anywhere on the NMC screen. If your avatar has been added to the access list you will see blue dialog box in the upper right of your screen. These are the controls for the screen. Click the Ignore button to dismiss the controls

The screens have two modes, either pictures (slide show) or video. If you need to switch from one to the other, click the button that says Pictures or Video.

[edit] Controlling Slides

Note that only NMC staff can upload images to the screen, so these must be provided in advance so we can load them for you.

The controls in picture mode look like:
To have the images auto advance, click the Loop button. To manually control the slides, click the Browse button.

Use the Back and Next buttons to control the slides, and use the Menu button to return.

[edit] Controlling Video

All video content must be accessible in Quicktime video format at a web URL. Please provide the content or the URL in advance to NMC staff so we can load them into the player.

If the player is not in Video mode, click the Video button

This is the main video control window. If your video has been loaded, click the Bookmarks button to select the video you wish to show.

Use the Back and Next buttons to find your video, and when it appears, click Use. A message on the screen will confirm the URL has changed.
