Putting Your Events on the Campus Calendar

The NMC Campus Calendar is published via the tools from Google Calendar. We ask that anyone using the campus for a scheduled event to make sure their activities appear on the calendar for two reasons:

  1. We want the calendar to provide a representation of the use of the NMC Campus. A busy calendar indicates a busy campus!
  2. The calendar, if populated with events, will be a primary way to let people know of your events, e.g. if you are creating a new campus activity group, having meetings scheduled on the calendar make it easy for them to know about meeting in advance. It can also serve as an informal way to "reserve" a special area if you want to have the use of say, Jacob Hall, for your activity.

Google Calendar is free to use, easy to edit and update events using a modern, drag and drop web interface. Interested? Learn more about Google Calender

[edit] How to Get Your Events On the Calendar

If you will be holding a series of events or regular meetings, we can grant you editing access to the NMC Campus Calendar so you directly enter your own events. Just send a message to campus calendaring including a brief description of the kinds of events you are planning and which email address to use to grant access for using Google Calendar (if you do not have a Google account, the responding email will offer you a chance to create one.

If you are just planning a one time event and wish us to post it for you, just send a message to campus calendaring including:

  • your name
  • title of event
  • 1-2 sentence description
  • date/time scheduled (please provide the time in PST)
  • where on campus you would like to have the event (if a tour, just note that.)
  • a URL, if applicable, where more information can be found

Thanks for helping fill in the calendar!
