We had an enthusiastic turnout for Sunday's performance of The Show Must Go On- live vaudeville performed at the theater on NMC Campus at Learning. There was dancing, cyclists, comedy, razzle dazzle, all served up in a flavor of well choreographed action.
Several avatars did quick changes behind the scenes (a little bit of alt-zooming allows you to see how things are prepared before the curtain opens-- cannot do that in areal theater). Our audience was loud in their applause, ... more » »

We are excited to bring to NMC Campus another original art performance-- On Sunday August 5, 2007, join us at 2:00 PM SLT/PDT (check local time) for The Show Must Go On:
This show will take place at the theater on Learning (81, 63, 33)! if you have never visited us before, you will need to first join one of the NMC groups that provide teleport access to NMC.

We're just making the preliminary announcements, so for your calendaring pleasure, the NMC will be offering a week long online symposium, completely in Second Life, focused on creativity in this virtual space. This will take place August 12-18 on a new sim at here- the NMC Conference Center (currently under construction).

The aho is proud to present a new collection of 3 artists - Kyra Gaea, Lou Portsmouth and Vlad Bjornson. Saturday 24th June 4pm STL.
Gaea a painter, poet, composer and pianist in real life - presents oil on canvas & palette knife which is skillfull guided slides across her canvas producing truely inspirational works.

On Wednesday, May 16, at 4:00 PM PDT/SLT, NMC's Teaching 2 sim will be the site of yet another special event. An avatar known as "Art World" (aka Richard Minsky) is presenting live in New York and in Second Life on "SLART(TM) : Art in Second Life":

Last Thursday, we were fortunate to have Second Life artist Filthy Fluno visit NMC Campus, where he spoke to 20+ audience via live audio. The purpose of this event was to share the process by which he created a RL painting commissioned by NMC, called "Search For Excellence."

On Thursday, we welcome special guest Filthy Fluno (aka Jeffrey Lipsky) to NMC Campus where he will give a live audio talk, show a movie, and demonstrate his artistic creation skills he uses in Second Life.
