RAJENDRA K. PACHAURI accepted the Nobel Peace Prize on behalf of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) in 2007, along with former Vice President Al Gore. He is director general of The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) in India., and Chair of the IPCC. He will focus on how the cumulative effects of industrialization affect the health of our natural resources and ecosystems, creating problems that not only affect the environment, but also, in some heavily industrialized areas, pose a serious threat to human health.
This program is co-sponsored by the University of Delaware Environmental Institute (DENIN), the Center for Energy and Environmental Policy, the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources and the Center for Political Communication.
