Hello NMCers,

Ananse’s Web is a community of educators, educational support personnel and others interested in using virtual environments to expand and enhance learning in the fields of African and African Diasporic studies. If you or someone you know fits this description, we invite you to join Ananse’s Web. Help to establish a Speakers’ Bureau, organize a Black History Month event, seek out grant opportunities or contribute in other ways to facilitate an expanded virtual Africana educational presence. Add your voice to the community by joining the Ananse’s Web group in Second Life and its sister group on Ning (http://anansesweb.ning.com/). Not in Second Life? No worries. You can still participate on the Ning.

The formal ceremony launching Ananse’s Web takes place October 4th, 2009.
More information about the opening coming soon.
