Metanomics will be interviewing product evangelist Tom Higgins about Unity Technologies, a game company that has been revolutionizing game content since 2005 on Wednesday, March 17 at 12pm PST. You can join us live in Second Life on the 17th or watch the show on the web on this page.
Host Robert Bloomfield will interview Tom Higgins on a number of aspects of Unity’s projects and approach, including his position as Product Evangelist. Tom is extremely active on the company’s blog, in the community forums and at conferences, just to name a few. Unity recently released information on some of their new projects at this year’s Game Developer’s Conference, including a new deal with MySpace, a Battlestar Galactica MMO and mobile projects, among others.
Unity Technologies uses their Unity platform to create games and other services across a wide variety of systems including consoles, PC and mobile. They also recently announced Unity 3.0, which includes support for both Android and Playstation 3, as well as launching support for iPad before the new Unity platform comes out.
Tom will discuss how the market has welcomed the Unity Platform, their multi-pronged approach to a wide variety of consoles and systems as well as their many users, which include Coca-Cola, Electronic Arts, LEGO and NASA, along with hundreds of small developers, small studios and students.
