As described earlier this month in our interview with CJ Carnot and Stella Costello, the NMC team has been busy making many changes to all of the sims in NMC Campus, but especially the core, the one, the original NMC Campus.
We are asking anyone available tomorrow to help us demo and test a new feature. At the core of NMC Campus is our "60 minute sandbox" a place for doing quick demos and sharing "stuff". We plan to make this ... more » »

In our humble apology department, we've been remiss on not getting around to doing this interview earlier. CJ Carnot (aka CJ Holden) and Stella Costello (aka Beth Sactjen) have been the master builders for NMC Virtual Worlds projects for a long time, and we have yet to nail them down to talk about the work they do. So we grabbed some of their time today to talk about work on our home base of NMC Campus.

I was flying around the other day checking out the many new changes for NMC Campus (more on that shortly, but I am thinking this is NMC Campus 3.0!) when I saw a cluster of green dots on NMC Orientation.
Sure enough, this looked like a class or group getting into SL for the first time, and it was fun to watch the baby avatars walk, talk, and dress themselves

Can you believe it has been so long since we ran ain in world interview? Would you believe my dog at my microphone? Hmmm, I did not think so.
Speaking of a while ago, many of you probably recall fondly the May 2007 Best Practices in Second Life Conference. Completely organized by volunteers, SLBPE was a 24 hour marathon of learning, and logged well over 1400 avatars participating.
