Oh what a sloppy blogger I have been! We've had this awesome resource that was released in November, the 2007 NMC Conference Proceedings which has more than a few papers of interest to those interested in Second Life and virtual worlds in general.
The papers in the proceedings were authored by presenters at the 2007 NMC Summer Conference in Indianapolis. Participants at the conference voted on sessions that ought to be invited to author papers, and the final product represents ... more » »

It's almost Monday soon and time for another great field trip with the NMC Campus Teachers Buzz. Join us at the Museum of Music (MuMu) where Bucky Barkley (no relation!) will demonstrate the use of three fantastic tools he has developed. They are set up for gallery exhibits at MuMu.

Look for another great Metanomics series live session you can watch on NMC Campus- this week the guest is Nick Yee, a researcher in virtual worlds at the Palo Alto Research Center who has been looking at social interaction and self-representation.

Today's weekly Metanomics session available to view on NMC Campus features Robert Bloomfield's interviewing of David Levine (no relation to my RL avatar), from IBM's TJ Watson Research Center, and will cover some of the latest effort from IBM in the Virtual World's space
