It seems having an academic researcher on Metanomics brought in more viewers to NMC's viewing location; we had over 25 avatars show up to watch host Robert Bloomfield interview Nick Yee.
Yee explained how his research at Stanford led to his position at the Palo Alto Research Center and discussed his interest in social interactions among avatars, how they are measured in lab, The Proteus Effect, and more.

Oh what a sloppy blogger I have been! We've had this awesome resource that was released in November, the 2007 NMC Conference Proceedings which has more than a few papers of interest to those interested in Second Life and virtual worlds in general.
The papers in the proceedings were authored by presenters at the 2007 NMC Summer Conference in Indianapolis. Participants at the conference voted on sessions that ought to be invited to author papers, and the final product represents ... more » »
