Learn About the Education Grid

We had an excellent session this morning over at the Babbage Amphitheater on NMC Conference Center- MediaGridAaron Oh presented on how grid computing applies to virtual worlds, and the work the Immersive Education project is doing to provide connections and shared access to multiple virtual worlds. We had 54 attendees, including ones from the U.K., Belgium, Spain, and all over the US. Challenges & Solutions to Teaching in SL: Drawing Math and Groupness

Yesterday was part two of our series on Challenges & Solutions to Teaching in Second Life featuring students who had taken Lisa Dawley's course last semester at Boise State University. Getting started was a challenge in itself as the Second Life Grid was down until 12:30PM PST, so we had a late start. But wow, as soon as the grid was open, people logged in quickly.
