Digital Media Summit… Pre-Summit in Second Life

As previously noted last December, the Media Grid hosted an Immersive Education Day at Harvard University (see details on event) as a leadup for another related event, the Boston Digital Media Summit taking place January 12-13.

Through the NMC’s relationships with the Media grid, we are excited to bring MediaGridAaron Oh (aka Media Grid Director Aaron Walsh) to NMC Campus for a preSummit event. MediaGridAaron will review the outcomes of the December event, discuss the Media Grid’s timeline for an Educational Grid, and lead us in some dialog on this topic.

When: January 10, 10:00 AM PST (check local time)
Where: NMC Conference Center (210, 25, 51), Babbage Amphitheater

Note: To visit the NMC Conference Center, you must first join the NMC Guests group in world. Be sure to have your Second Life Voice Chat working and you should always use a headset for voice events.

Aaron has provided us with videos of the sessions form the December Immersive Education Day that you can view now at three difference locations on the conference Center.
