24 Hours Until SL Best Practices Conference
CDB Barkley (aka Alan Levine) : May 24, 2007 12:04am
In 24 hours, it will be the kickoff for the Second Life Best Practices in Education Conference, taking place at multiple sims in Second Life. For 24 hours starting at 12:00 AM March 25, you can find presentations, posters, ongoing games, vendors… and some 700+ colleagues who have registered.
To see what is going on, plan your day now around the agenda and keep an eye on the keynote schedule (five of them). With presenters from around the world, there will always be something going on.
A chink of activities will be on the NMC Campus Outreach sim, which is but one of 6 locations where things will be happening.
This event, which is free for anyone interested, has been an amazing example of the collaboration and generous nature of the Second Life education community.
So if you have not done so already, be sure to register online tomorrow, and plan your Friday around the conference — this will be one of the SL events educators do not want to miss.
And be sure to thank the big list of conference planners, they have been tireless organizers!
