Educators in Second Life Survey

The NMC is interested in learning more about the ever growing number of educators who are using or exploring Second Life. To conduct some research, we have just launched a 42 item, anonymous online survey aimed at educators (faculty, staff, student, administrator) who have an active Second Life account. Our questions aim to get an understanding of their SL preferences, behaviors in Second Life, their current or future planned educational activities, and some demographics/technology use of this group. Teaching and learning on the Teen Grid

In the Teachers Buzz meeting last Monday, it turned out that quite a number of the 35 avatars in attendance are teaching or mentoring on the teen grid. The three presenters, KJ, Clare and Victoria are conducting their research at least in part on the teen grid, so this is perhaps not so surprising.
