More Buzz Follow-up

Thanks Totally Vavoom for doing a write-up for last night’s NMC Campus Teachers Buzz session, where we aimed to provide some guidance to some educators new to Second Life participating with us via a pre-conference session of the TCC Online conference.
When we asked, the subjects being used by folks present included student design competitions plus classes in composition, British Literature, American Literature, Women’s Studies, software engineering, game design and development, cultural studies, law, Instructional Media Design, Psychology, Genetics, and Human Services to name a few. Professor Beliveau shared some details of his Field Research Methods class and answered questions about the way he dealt with IRB concerns. The conversation flowed to topics of keeping up with the SLED listserv, the potential for voice in Second Life, addressing issues of accessibility — and you can find more in the transcript.
After an hour of discussion, we teleported over to Corwin Carillon’s Boracay sim, where Lyr Lobo had us again moving and grooving too some fun dance music. With some not so deft camera work, I captured a bit of the dance action and music to put together a short video clip:
