KRTU Enters SL With Mixed Reality Event

Trinity University radio station KRTU certainly doesn’t believe in baby steps. It’s soft launch was a mixed reality event featuring Matt Daly, host of the popular show In Limbo, who interviewed local electronic musicians in the KRTU booth and simultaneously broadcast it into SL from the KRTU Studios at Metaversatility Island.
Despite minimal publicity, the crowd poured in including leading personalities Frog Marlowe, Moo Money, Prokofy Neva, and Ute Hicks, a Trinity alum herself. Calling into the program, she said: Calling into the program, she said:
“This is the first time that I’ve ever called a radio station from the virtual world.”
The formal opening of KRTU is scheduled for April 25, 2007, so keep your eyes and ears peeled. It’s likely to be one huge party, and I’m all for any excuse to put my dancing shoes on!
