HASTAC Discussion on Virtual Worlds
CDB Barkley (aka Alan Levine) : Feb 20, 2007 08:34am
On Friday, February 23, at 11:15 AM PST, Professor Steven Shaviro of Wayne State University (known as Rebis Hokkigai in Second Life) will lead a discussion on the educational potentials of virtual worlds. The discussion will take place at the Amphitheater on the NMC Campus, located on Learning (173,191,32). The easiest way to get there is via the SLURL slurl.com/secondlife/Learning/173/191/32/. If you need help, please send an IM to CDB Barkley.

This discussion is the Second Life component of an otherwise ‘real-world’ event: a roundtable on “Remediating English Studies,” held in Wayne State’s Bernath Auditorium, part of a day-long event sponsored by HASTAC, the Humanities, Arts, Science, and Technology Advanced Collaboratory.
Anyone interested in joining this in world discussion is welcome to show up and participate with the audience from Wayne State.
