NMC Campus Growing, And Growing, And…

Not only is our campus growing, but a whole slate of neighbors will be adjoining is this year.

If you’ve dropped into the NMC Campus Area recently, you may have noticed this checkerboard graphic posted. The NMC Campus we’ve grown to appreciate this year is completely in the central square.

Surrounding it the other colored squares represent land purchased a few months ago for the campus expansion, including a new Life Sciences complex and a Mahinima/Arts complex, ech one with a stunning new ampitheater for large events, and compelling spaces inside for learning and creative use.

The new grey quares forming yet another new, larger periphery forecasts some major events and projects coming on board this year, some of which you will learn about next week. A number of these are sims that have been purchased bby other educational institutions who are going to build out new facilities. Others will become opportunities foe educators and artists to become part of what is going to be an “Educational Archipelago” in Second Life, perhaps even a quickly growing continent.

These new lands are now just blank canvases, with not much shape. But just watch them grow.

And like some previous intances, we will have some events coming up that take advantage of empty sims.
