Last night's ZeroG SkyDancer performance was an incredible event hosted here on NMC Campus. There were 3 performances, and the audiences showed up (not without some trouble at 7PM due to problems with the Wednesday grid upgrade) in their finest formal wear.
What DanCoyote Antonelli produces in these shows really fails to be described in words, or even pictures. The Skydancer troupe, Anhinga Chaika, Deborah Strangelove, Callipygian Christensen, Tatiana Kurri, Queue Marlowe, adorn rather unusual avatar 'clothes' that render them as ... more » »

The following was something I posted in response to someone looking for "how to present powerpoints" and "use audio" in SecondLife, part shared information, part opinion, open to comment.
Bottom line, as we conceive activities to bring education in SecondLife, we ought to think differently about the ... more » »

Today we had a fantastic field trip to Lyr Lobo's space in Arah with 33 avatars attending - a great turnout! Lyr was demonstrating a commercial tool, called Paradise Blanket (you buy the base tool and can buy additional modules) which rezzes complete 'scenes'. Both Lyr and the NMC are producing scripted tools to do something similar to this - a variation of a holodeck - so make sure you're subscribed to the Campus Observer for the latest news about ... more » »

Our small grassy knoll was packed tonight with at least 35 avatars who showed up for the NMC Teacher's Buzz meeting. The intended discussion topic was sharing or recapping the presentations seen last week at the NMC Regional Conference in San Antonio-- as we had at least 4 of the presenters on hand at tonight's meeting. The transcript now available,
The presentation files themselves from the conference, along with podcasts from the keynote sessions, will be posted as they are ... more » »

Just so I can keep these links available in my author's page view, here are some other places on the NMC Campus Observer where I have been active:
Talking With the Professor (Aug 8, 2006) an audio interview with me in world, where I spoke of my initial ideas for my class and some of the reflections on my early Second Life experiences.
Professor B In RL News (Oct 17, 2006) A nice recap of the story and picture of me (both ... more » »
