RL Imitates SL (with acceleration)

CDB Barkley (aka Alan Levine) : Oct 30, 2006 08:56am

It was quite a few months ago our NMC Campus security cameras caught snapshots of someone darting across the campus grass on a fast green motorcycle. But that is not against the rules.

Forensic analysis identified the rider as Totally Vavoom, whom we had interviewed way back in March 2006, the early launch days of NMC Campus.

And now it seems that RL is imitating SL, since Totally’s real life avatar, Vidya Ananthanarayanan (Trinity University), sent us a photo of her new Legacy 25o motorbike… so is she merging both lives?

Come to the NMC Regional Conference hosted by Trinity University, November 8-10, in San Antonio, and ask Vidya/Totally about her RL/SL motorcycle experiences!

[...] So I’m not the only person who is starting to get confused between real life (first life?) and SL: http://www.nmc.org/sl/2006/10/30/tv-bike/ [...]

The way I tell the difference, is that there is no keyboard in RL (real life.) I love all this! I have been a gamer so long because of the social aspect of mult-player gaming. Meanwhile society was calling us losers and weirdos. Well finally people are starting to understand. There is alot to tbe learned between the growing SL community and the already established gaming community. I can’t wait until the day comes when those two worlds can easily meshup in the 3d virtual world. Imagine being able to transpose from SL to WoW and vice versa. Reality Potpuri.
