Life on Mars

As the last scheduled session of the NMC Campus Impact of Digital Media Symposium, Troy McLuham (International Spaceflight Museum) presented a session on “Life on Mars?”.
Troy used the chat session to provide a lot of information about what scientists can tell us about Mars (as opposed to what Hollywood has concocted about the Red Planet).

If you have not visited the Spaceflight Museum, go visit Spaceport Alpha as it is one of the most exciting builds in Second Life for science. And what is even more amazing, is that it has been built by volunteers. There is an incredible amount of learning materials there, and Troy has been collaborating with others in Second Life on several new science projects.
Unfortantely, I missed the bulk of Troy’s session, but thanks to Lyr Lobo we have a transcript from the session where you can see it was a very active session.
And no, Martians did not invade NMC Campus, although there were some odd looking avatars standing around the library!
Was this Life on Mars? This was spotted towering over the NMC Campus Library last Saturday.
