Friday & Saturday Movies at the Symposium

For those venturing onto NMC Campus these past two nights for the Symposium on Impact of Digital Media, we’ve been featuring more excellent videos from the TEDTalks series.

Checking out the Sir Ken Robinson video
Friday featured Sir Ken Robinson and his TEDTalk video on creativity.

Hans Roling TEDTalk video plays in Gonick Ampitheater
And Saturday featured a fascinating video from the TEDTalk by Hans Roling — demonstrating some powerful visualization of large amounts of data. Be sure to check out his work on the Gapminder site.
If you were in the area, you may have noticed sitting on stage are Second Life books each representing one of the winning essays from the Global Kids Media Essay Award Winners — you can flip through the books and read in the words of todays youth what they consider as the impact of digital media. Be sure to come to NMC Campus Monday to hear more from Digital Kids.
