Next Teacher’s Buzz

Just like RL campuses, the folks working at the NMC Campus have been caught up with the activities of the start of the academic year. We wanted to put out a quick preliminary note that the next meeting for the NMC Campus Teacher’s Buzz will be 6:00 PM SLT/PST on September 18 (http://tinyurl.com/o33o5).

For now, we are trying to alternate our meetings between 9:00 AM (Europe friendly times, we hope) and 6:00 PM. Look for us on NMC campus gathered under the NMC flag just across the water from the Gonick Ampitheater.

If you have not yet visited NMC Campus, you will first want to fill out our “Join NMC” web form which provides the directions on how to get access to the campus.

Our tentative topic is more or less trading answers to “How Do I do ______ in SL?”- so bring your buring questions on how to create gestures, make groups, walk smoothly, etc. So bring your questions, answers, and we will trade. We have also seeded a wiki on the Campus Guide site, where we can also build out this information.

And take a look around NMC Campus! The Library has been revamped, and shortly we will be announcing some exicting news for the management of the library contents. There is some new math related art created by Seifert Surface sitting atop the Spohrer Center roof. We have some new video/slide show screens in our classrooms and Ampitheater designed for presenters/teachers to use.
