Poster Bash in Huntley Hall

The Crowd Builds

Our virtual fingers were crossed today, hoping that yesterday’s Second Life melt down would not ruin our rescheduling of our NMC 2006 Conference Poster Reprise.
And luck was the winner, as Second Lif behaved, and we welcomed a good crowd to Huntley Hall to meet and talk about the posters. This was a good mix of a crowd, some familiar avs, and lots of new ones, wearing that “Fresh of Welcome Island” appearance, and many appreciated the free NMC T-shirts given out. If you see s few big awkward zebras on campus, blame me– it was a free avatar I found, and you get what you pay for,
I noticed some good gatherings of people in conversations at many posters, so thanks to our RL presenters who took the time to be in world today. You could pick up strands of conversations that came over chat, and more than once we saw people move to where others were talking about something that interested them.
Most everyone was excited about the format, and people were asking about future events.
A bunch of new photos is now available in our flickr slide show.
