2006 Summer Conference Poster Session Reprised

If you missed the popular poster session at this year’s Summer Conference — or if you’d like a second look — we have good news! The posters have been set up in the Huntley Ballroom on NMC Campus and are available for you to view now. As a special treat, there will be an interactive session with the poster authors themselves on Wednesday, July 12. Please join us!

To get a 2D taste of what the posters look like, check out our Flickr stream, which features pictures of the event being set up.

Greeters will be available half an hour before the event begins to help those who are new to Second Life become accustomed to moving, talking, and interacting with the world.

This is just one of the activities that the NMC is planning at the NMC Campus as we explore the possibilities that spaces like this have to offer for learning, teaching, and creative expression. Come be part of the experiment!

That’s a GREAT idea. too often conference organizers just make a push for their event — and as soon as it’s over everything disappears. There is nothing left for those would couldn’t attend. At the most, just a dry and dusty conference report, or a write up in the organization’s magazine three months later. Actually a good conference services manager ought to be planning for post-conference events as a sort of wind-down and catch-up. Both for those who went and those who couldn’t.
