Interview With Corwin
CDB Barkley (aka Alan Levine) : Jun 27, 2006 08:26am
With our recent opening of the virtual doors to NMC Campus, we hope to expand our series of Studio NMC interviews with folks that come on campus. IN these interviews, we use external audio technology, in this case Skype, to have a casual conversation as we visit some spot on the NMC Campus.
Yesterday we met up with Corwin Carillon, an admitted Second Life “newbie”:

and spent some some time just chatting about Second Life, the barrier for entry, potential for future conference type gatherings, and other, maybe idle, speculations.
And to prove we are shooting from the hip in these interviews, and that in Second Life, the unexpected can happen at any time, from any direction, we dealt with a few… surprises. this included before we started a rather amazing example of fiery incineration (of course, your avatar can never suffer physical harm), and as we closed our interview, some strange loud nearby explosions that Corwin and I were compelled to investigate.
The audio for the interview, and a few more pictures follow.

Corwin does his “Burning Man” imitation!

The interview comes unglued as a herd of buffalo charge across campus.
