From Dream to Virtual Reality

Please join us on the NMC’s campus in Second Life for a special event taking place simultaneously in both the virtual and actual worlds Friday, June 9, 2006 from 8-10 pm EDT (5-7 pm PDT).

Join the participants at the NMC Summer Conference session participating in a live panel discussion with the designers and builders of the NMC Campus via a live video stream from the session taking place in a unique high-tech amphitheatre in the Intercontinental Hotel in Cleveland, Ohio.

This stream will be sent directly to the virtual Gonick Amphitheatre on the NMC Campus in Second Life. Lead designer Giff Constable (Forseti Svarog) will provide a live tour of the NMC Campus on the main screen for the Cleveland audience. A panel session with other members of the design team, including Sara van Gorden (Cory Edo), will follow the virtual tour. A moderator on the NMC Campus will be present in world to pass questions from our Second Life Participants to the panel on the stage in Cleveland.

When the panel session concludes, the RL discussions will move to a much more informal setting in the foyer of the Amphitheatre on the 3rd Floor, where a cash bar will provide refreshments, and the interactions will continue in SL.
